Cleotic AI traffic plugin now available on wordpress.org

We are stoked to announce that our AI traffic plugin has been successfully reviewed and is now available for download from the wordpress.org plugin marketplace and from within the WordPress admin dashboard.

Our thanks to the plugin review team and for the WordPress organisation for the superb documentation they provide for developers such as ourselves.

By current reckoning WordPress powers as much than 40% of all websites on the. As such we felt it was the natural place for us to focus on our first platform integration.

The plugin allows WordPress users the ability to track the volume of traffic they are receiving from AI provider referrals and known AI crawlers. A Cleotic account is not required, but we provide the option for our users to add their WordPress sites as connected sites in Cleotic to unlock deeper insight within their projects.

Increased insight depth

Behind the scene we've been working to designing a research plan that will deliver the ability for us to publish a market and sector based AI visibility index study. It's our intention to release a report and dataset on a monthly basis beginning early August 2026.

To support this effort we have shipped a number of improvements to the breadth and depth of data we store as well as increasing the amount of metadata we retain. This supports the needs of our research effort as well as our goal of being the most trustworthy and transparent provider of AI brand visibility data.

The immediate upside of this for customers is the additional insight this new data brings to user of the Cleotic app, CLI, and MCP. server. We'll follow-up soon with a detailed rundown of how we capture our data and what we store.

Owned-site intelligence

In the Sources section of projects we have shipped a new audit tool. It's called Site Intelligence. It automatically fetch pages from the domain of the primary brand and runs 50+ checks against the fetched pages. The checks evaluate how well the pages follow AI visibility best-practices and general technical SEO standards.

Weekly project summary emails

All Cleotic customers now how have the option to opt-in to weekly summary emails that provide an overview of the current status of your projects and what has changed versus the previous week. Owners and Admin users will get details of all projects within their organisation, and members will get details of projects they have access to.
