Brand settings

On this page

Open Brand settings in the brand sidebar to change how the brand collects evidence and who can access it.

What belongs in Brand settings

Brand settings is where you manage:

  • Details. Brand identity, domain, aliases, monitoring status, and lifecycle actions
  • Competitors. Competitors, domains, and aliases
  • Site. The website: AI visits coming in and Content Studio drafts going out
  • Segments. Markets, languages, model sets, and prompt scope
  • Brand voice. The tone and guidelines every draft follows
  • Perception. Sentiment schedule and perception settings
  • Site readiness. Weekly scans, checks, emails and white-label reports
  • Brand access. The people and teams who can work on the brand

If a configuration changes how evidence is collected or interpreted, it usually belongs in Brand settings.

Segments as scope

A segment is the scope for a body of prompt evidence. It can behave like a campaign, region, language, market, or recurring research programme.

Examples:

  • "UK buyer journey"
  • "US enterprise alternatives"
  • "Enterprise competitor checks"
  • "Launch campaign prompts"

Choose a scope that helps you interpret the answers, then give the segment a name your teammates will recognise.

Setup checklist

  1. Open Brand settings → Details and confirm the primary brand.
  2. Open Brand settings → Competitors and add the main competitors you want to benchmark against.
  3. Open Brand settings → Segments and create at least one segment with a clear scope.
  4. Add prompts to that segment from Answers → Prompts.
  5. Open Brand settings → Brand voice if you want to set a default tone or guidelines for drafts.
  6. Open Brand settings → Site and connect your site if you want AI traffic to show crawler and referral evidence, or Content Studio to send drafts to your CMS.
  7. Use Brand settings → Brand access to share the brand with the people or teams who need it.

Changes to the primary brand or competitors start historical reanalysis. Model and schedule changes affect future collection. Review the relevant guide before changing a configuration used in a trend comparison.

When to return to Brand settings

Return to Brand settings when:

  • A competitor should be added, paused, or removed
  • A segment needs a different cadence, model set, geography, or language
  • You need another segment for a different market or campaign
  • Content Studio drafts need a different tone or guidelines
  • Perception refresh settings need to change
  • Aliases or domains have changed
  • A teammate needs access
