Projects

Projects are the top-level containers in Cleotic. Everything you monitor -- brands, AI models, prompts, analytics -- lives inside a project. Think of a project as a dedicated workspace for a specific monitoring campaign.

Why projects matter

Projects let you organise your monitoring by campaign, client, product line, or however else makes sense for your work. A marketing agency might have one project per client. A brand team might have one project for their main product and another for a new launch.

Creating a project

There are two ways to create a project:

  1. Project wizard -- Click New Project from the projects page or dashboard. This launches the guided setup wizard that walks you through creating a project, adding brands, configuring a monitor, and writing prompts. See the quick start guide for a full walkthrough.

  2. Quick create -- From the projects list, you can create a project with just a name. You'll add brands, monitors, and prompts afterward.

Project status

Every project is either active or paused:

  • Active -- Monitors run on schedule, and you can run prompts on demand.
  • Paused -- All scheduled monitoring stops. You can still view existing data, but prompts cannot be run. Pausing is useful when you want to temporarily stop monitoring without losing your configuration.

You can pause or resume a project at any time from the project page or the projects list.

The project page

When you open a project, you'll see a multi-tab interface:

  • Overview -- Summary stats and recent activity at a glance
  • Brands -- Manage the brands you're tracking. See Brands.
  • Monitors -- Configure AI model monitoring. See Monitors.
  • Analytics -- Visibility scores, share of voice, trends, and answer gaps. See Analytics.
  • Sentiment -- Brand sentiment analysis across six dimensions. See Sentiment.
  • Citations -- Sources that AI models reference. See Citations.
  • Crawlers -- AI crawler tracking for your website. See Tracking sites.
  • Content Studio -- Generate content to improve your visibility. See Content Studio.
  • Reports -- Create shareable analytics reports. See Reports.

Managing projects

From the projects page, you can:

  • Search projects by name
  • Switch views between card, vertical, and table layouts
  • Edit a project's name
  • Pause or resume a project
  • Delete a project (this permanently removes all associated data)

Plan limits

The number of active projects you can have depends on your plan:

Paused projects don't count toward your active project limit. See Plans and usage for full details.
