Prompts

Prompts are the questions Cleotic sends to the AI models selected in a segment. Each captured answer becomes evidence for your project's visibility and brand analysis.

Choose useful questions

Use questions your customers would ask, such as "Which CRM works well for a five-person sales team?" or "Compare HubSpot and Salesforce for reporting."

Include category questions that do not name your brand as well as explicit comparisons. A prompt that already names your brand measures a different situation from a question where the model must choose which brands to mention.

Create a prompt

  1. Open Answers -> Prompts in your project.
  2. Choose the segment you want to add prompts to, then open the add-prompt form.
  3. Enter the question in Prompt Text.
  4. Optionally add comma-separated tags, intent, category, market, and language.
  5. Click Create.

The segment determines the models and schedule. Market and language labels help organise reporting; write any required location or language instructions into the question itself.

Enter a seed question and click Generate Related. Review the suggestions and their labels, deselect any you do not want, then click Add N Prompts. Discard Suggestions returns you to the manual form.

You can always create a prompt manually if suggestions are unavailable. Check your remaining active-prompt allowance before adding a batch.

Collection schedule

New active prompts receive an initial run. After that, collection follows the segment's configured schedule. The segment form offers Daily and Weekly.

Each run sends the question to the segment's selected models. Response capture and analysis can finish at different times. Open the prompt's responses to check what arrived; an unavailable model response is not evidence that your brand was absent.

Check that the project, segment, and prompt are active if scheduled data is missing. An expired trial also stops new collection. See Plans and usage.

Edit labels or replace wording

Open a prompt's action menu in Answers -> Prompts.

Choose Edit labels and classification to update its tags and reporting dimensions without changing the question.

Choose Replace prompt wording to change the question. Review the wording and labels, then click Create replacement. Cleotic creates a new active prompt and pauses the previous version. Responses and citations remain attached to the wording that produced them. Replacement is available for active prompts.

Compare old and new versions separately when judging trends. A wording change can change which brands the model mentions.

Pause or delete

Pause collection stops future runs and preserves the prompt's evidence. Paused prompts do not count towards active-prompt limits.

Delete prompt and history permanently removes the prompt and its attached responses, citations, mentions, and analytics evidence. Use pause when you need to keep that history.

Review results

Open a prompt to read Responses. Use Answers -> Mentions for a project-wide feed of primary-brand mentions.
