Brand settings
Open Brand settings in the brand sidebar to change how the brand collects evidence and who can access it.
What belongs in Brand settings
Brand settings is where you manage:
- Details. Primary brand name, domain, aliases, market, status, and lifecycle actions
- Competitors. Competitors, domains, aliases, and historical matching
- Websites. Main and additional websites
- Destinations. CMS connections for drafts
- Segments. Market, language, or campaign-like evidence scopes, their models, cadence, geography, language, and status
- Content Studio. Default tone plus organisation-wide and brand-scoped skills
- Perception. Sentiment schedule and perception settings
- Tracking setup. Owned domains and tracking installation entry points where available
- Brand access. The people and teams who can work on the brand
If a configuration changes how evidence is collected or interpreted, it usually belongs in Brand settings.
Segments as scope
A segment is the scope for a body of prompt evidence. It can behave like a campaign, region, language, market, or recurring research programme.
Examples:
- "UK buyer journey"
- "US enterprise alternatives"
- "Weekly competitor checks"
- "Launch campaign prompts"
Choose a scope that helps you interpret the answers, then give the segment a name your teammates will recognise.
Setup checklist
- Open Brand settings -> Details and confirm the primary brand.
- Open Brand settings -> Competitors and add the main competitors you want to benchmark against.
- Open Brand settings -> Segments and create at least one segment with a clear scope.
- Add prompts to that segment from Answers -> Prompts.
- Open Brand settings -> Content Studio if you want to set a default tone or manage generation skills.
- Open Brand settings -> Tracking setup and configure owned-domain tracking if you want Sources to include crawler and referral evidence.
- Use Brand settings -> Brand access to share the brand with the people or teams who need it.
Changes to the primary brand or competitors start historical reanalysis. Model and schedule changes affect future collection. Review the relevant guide before changing a configuration used in a trend comparison.
When to return to Brand settings
Return to Brand settings when:
- A competitor should be added, paused, or removed
- A segment needs a different cadence, model set, geography, or language
- You need another segment for a different market or campaign
- Content Studio should inherit a different tone or updated skills
- Perception refresh settings need to change
- Aliases or domains have changed
- A teammate needs access
