Sources

Sources has two views: AI citations for sources included in captured answers, and AI traffic for detected visits to your website.

AI citations

Open Sources -> AI citations to inspect cited domains and URLs, ownership labels, models, brands, and supporting evidence. Use the filters to focus on a segment, source category, or domain.

Citations come from prompt responses. They do not require a website tracking installation. Open cited pages to check whether they support the model's claims.

See Citations.

AI traffic

Open Sources -> AI traffic to inspect crawler requests and AI referrals by page. Use Crawlers only or Referrals only to separate the two.

AI traffic requires a connection configured in Brand settings -> Tracking setup. Choose WordPress, Vercel, Bunny CDN, or the HTML snippet for your site. See AI traffic tracking.

AI share needs eligible total pageviews. An integration that sends only AI events cannot supply a complete share, even when its crawler and referral counts are useful.

Compare the evidence

A cited page may have no recorded visit in your tracking window. A crawler request may never become a citation or a referral. The signals answer different questions and use different collection paths.

Use Site Readiness to scan your own site for access and content issues. A readiness scan does not require traffic tracking.
