Bunny CDN setup for AI traffic tracking
Connect a Bunny CDN pull zone to Cleotic to collect eligible page requests served through the CDN. You need access to the pull zone's logging settings and a Cleotic tracking site for the served domain.
Prepare the connection in Cleotic
- Open Project Settings -> Tracking setup -> Connect a site.
- Select Bunny CDN and enter the domain that visitors use.
- In Connect, enter the numeric pull-zone ID from the Bunny dashboard URL and click Save zone.
- Click Generate token and copy the one-time forwarding token.
- Copy the Syslog destination host and port.
Use the host and port shown for your site. If Cleotic says forwarding is unavailable, contact support before continuing.
Configure the pull zone
Open the pull zone's Logging settings in Bunny and enable logging and log forwarding. Use TCP, Plain text, the Cleotic destination host and port, and the forwarding token you copied.
Save the Bunny configuration, then return to Cleotic and click Finish setup. Bunny forwards request logs through syslog; see Bunny's CDN log-forwarding description.
Verify traffic
Request a public page through the configured CDN domain. Allow time for delivery, then check connection status in Tracking setup and evidence in Sources -> AI traffic.
A connection signal does not necessarily create an AI event. Crawler or referral evidence requires a matching user agent or referral source.
If nothing arrives, check the pull-zone ID, served domain, forwarding switch, protocol, host, port, and token. Requests that bypass the pull zone cannot appear in its logs.
Rotate or stop
To replace a lost token, open Manage connection, choose Rotate token, and update Bunny with the new token. Keep the provider configuration in sync.
Pause the site in Cleotic to stop recording, or disable forwarding in Bunny to stop sending logs. Visits missed while collection is stopped are not backfilled.
